"Bianca's voice, paired with her powerful original music, evokes the deepest and most sensitive emotions from her band members as well as audience; it's a truly spiritual experience."
Bianca Muñiz is a 23 year old singer, songwriter, and pianist; living in Manhattan, New York, who has taken flight on the music scene. Bianca has a truly unique way of captivating the unspoken; she takes her listeners inside of her mind, painting unapologetic pictures of vulnerable yet passionate truths, while entangling them into her uplifting experiences, without any refrains. With music of such originality, it makes it difficult to categorize into one genre, she calls it avant-pop.
Bianca is native from Westchester, New York, who already has a daunting arsenal of life experience from which she draws inspiration to create powerful music. She is an individual with a drive to do good and spread love throughout the world through music.
In the summer of 2016, Bianca released her first EP, Scary Dreams, which can be found on iTunes, Spotify and Tidal, and successfully booked her own East Coast Tour. In the Fall of 2017, Bianca embarked on the her first international tour, in Montreal, in response to her recent single release and VEVO released music video. Although she is currently fighting cancer for the second time, she hasn't let that slow her down. Instead, she is using it to inspire and motivate herself and others.
Bianca was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 11. Rather than losing hope, Bianca turned to music to get her through these rough times. Now the age of 23 she is battling breast cancer, having underwent a double mastectomy December of 2016, she is leaning on music once again. Bianca has continued creating and expressing herself through her songwriting. These life experiences have changed her physically and mentally. Bianca's emotional and mental fortitude, as a result of this experience, has opened a creative vista of life. Her motto: "Well if I'm alive, then I'm fine;" is still her credo today. The flip side is: "I can do anything I want to do." Bianca has set out to do exactly that.
Her experience with cancer has inspired her to make future plans of creating a non-profit organization, helping kids with cancer deal with sickness through music. Music was amazingly therapeutic while she was in the hospital and she wants to share that healing with others. She also wants to incorporate helping kids/teens with depression in memory of her best friend and fellow musician Miles Applebaum, who suffered from depression.
Bianca is actively performing in NYC. Some of the venues she's performed at are Rockwood Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Bowery Electric, Pianos, Webster Hall Studio, 12 Grapes and many more. She has also sung the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks and Rangers. She graduated in May 2016, from The New School of Jazz and Contemporary music, and will continue her lifelong journey of music and travel.
